Bio

Allen grew up in Connecticut playing drums/percussion in school concert, marching, jazz bands, as well as local rock bands. As a junior, Allen was awarded a scholarship for jazz performance from Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts.

Upon high school graduation, Allen joined the U.S. Air Force to concentrate on electronics, but found it possible to continue his musical pursuits. He performed with the Basic Training Drum & Bugle Corps at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas and the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Mississippi. Throughout the remainder of his 4-year enlistment Allen performed in various rock and r&b bands. In 1987 he was awarded 1st place for instrumental drum solo in the Kelly AFB Talent Show in San Antonio, Texas. From 1988-1989 he was the drummer for Texas Metal band, KING'S RANSOM.

Allen then moved to Europe and spent time living, working, and performing in rock bands on drums/vocals/bass.

In 1995, Allen relocated to the Baltimore/Washington DC area. He has supported ILUVATAR (neo-prog), THE DARK AETHER PROJECT (prog rock), TODESBONDEN (celtic doom epic metal), HIGHWIRE ('80s hair metal cover band), ROUGHHAUSEN (electro industrial punk rock) and MYSTIC-FORCE (progressive power metal). This is in addition to short-notice fill-ins for various bands in different genres.

As TEMPUSTRY, Allen released his 1st studio CD of electronic music, ‘Le Voyage du Temps’ on the Time Voyage Music label in 2005.

With the passing of progressive power metal band MYSTIC-FORCE's only active founding member/bassist, Allen is now actively looking for something new. Allen was active with MYSTIC-FORCE from 2012-2022 having played concerts in Germany and Greece, as well as, being on 21 different CD, Concert DVD, and Vinyl releases.
